This week we continued to work all week to earn some extra money for our next trip. At the end of the week we had one of our first night of going out to the bars (and probably one of our last) for our flatmate’s (Claire) going away party. After our respective jobs we went to ‘Good Luck’ to join the rest of the flat for the fun. It was one of our later nights.
Saturday we returned to work for our last shifts before the trip. At the end of the night we were going to give Kat a ride home but got swindled into going out with Simon and his wife. We went to a Japanese beer bar called Hashigo Zake. While we tried some local New Zealand beers off tap we were pleased to see a plentiful supply of Rogue Ales in the fridge (at least it wasn’t Bud). Afterwards we continued on to worldwide familiar scene, an Irish Pub Molly Malone’s. Its amazing how similar they are around the world. It was by far our latest night out in a long time and we got home at 4 AM!
