Wanaka (Chelan)

Rented mountain bikes today, which was sweet, Road around the lake and took some pics. My first time mountain biking! Lake Wanaka is gorgeous, and so is the connecting river. All bodies of water in New Zealand have some sort of unreal green/blueish thing going on! Wanaka reminded us a lot of Chelan – slightly less commercialized, more condensed, and prettier water.





Then we walked a little bit around town. It is a very cute town, but we didn’t have any money to spend, so once again hit the campsite. Talked to a British lady on her way back to the UK after spending a year in Melbourne, Australia. Weather was mostly warm and sunny all day with a little sprinkle at night. John is not so much enjoying the rain – we are hoping things clear up!
